Our Story

The story of Olga and Tyler truly begins with a very special little boy: Garrison, Tyler’s energetic three-year-old son. Their paths first crossed at Tutor Time daycare in Blaine, Minnesota, where Garrison was a student. Shortly after he enrolled, Olga joined the center’s leadership team as a Director in Training.

While Olga was technically his teacher and director, she and Garrison quickly became "instant best friends." Whether they were racing across the playground or sneaking an extra afternoon treat together, their bond was immediate and genuine.

The turning point came during a routine afternoon pickup. Tyler walked through the front doors to find Olga stationed at the front desk. What began as a simple conversation about Garrison’s day quickly evolved into a deeper connection. By the time Tyler left with Garrison that evening, he and Olga had swapped Instagram handles.

Their first "unofficial" meeting was a sweet family outing to Milkjam Creamery. The trio bonded over their shared obsession with ice cream, though the romantic spark was already undeniable. Eventually, Olga decided to take the lead; she worked up the courage to ask Tyler out for a proper one-on-one date (and yes, for the record, she definitely asked him first!).

That first date at Brasa was followed by a quiet evening watching planes take off along Cargo Road. In that simple, peaceful moment, they knew they had found something special. From a daycare classroom to a lifelong partnership, the rest is history.
